On Thursday, 9 March 2023, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew conducted a Trisagion Memorial Service at the cemetery of Saint Ignatius of Chalcedon, in memory of His ever-remembered Elder, The Late Elder Metropolitan Meliton of Chalcedon, who on that day, the feast of the Holy Forty Martyrs of Sebaste, celebrated his Patronal Feast Day.
Also, prayerfully present alongside the Ecumenical Patriarch was Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon. The Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Chalcedon, Archimandrite Evgenios Karatzas also took part in the Trisagion prayers.
