The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, during his visit to Athens, met with the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece Kyriakos Pierrakakis, today, Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Representation Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
During their meeting, they had the opportunity to discuss matters of common interest. Present were Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representation Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, Archdeacon Aetios, Director of the Patriarchal Office, George Kalantzis, General Secretary of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education, and Nikolaos Dimakis, Director of the Minister’s Office. It was the first visit of the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs to the Patriarchate’s Office in Athens, and for this reason, Pierrakakis signed the relevant guestbook.
