Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece and Regional Governor of Attica G. Patoulis signed a Cooperation Agreement between the Attica Region and the “Apostoli” Charity organization of the Archdiocese of Athens.
The purpose of the cooperation is to launch joint actions, through the development of specific programs, in the areas of poverty, nutrition, health, education, the protection of the elderly, the environment and culture.
On the occasion of the signing of the Cooperation Agreement, Mr. Patoulis gave the Archbishop a symbolic gift, honouring the Archbishop’s contribution to society. As he stressed, “We will make the most of our Church’s important work by creating cradles of civilization and education for our citizens and especially for our youth. I am sure that the contribution of the Archdiocese in promoting the social work of the Region will be valuable.”
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece thanked the Attica Regional Governor for the invitation and the choice to renew their cooperation and to have a fresh start, especially in a symbolic period such as Christmas. “It is our debt to remind and reflect all this huge work done through the charity organization ‘Apostoli’,” he said.
