The services of the Holy Week in the Holy Metropolis of Belgium were celebrated with grace and majesty.
During the Holy Days of Pascha, in every church and every parish of the three Benelux countries, the believers of every linguistic and ethnic origin had the opportunity to become sharers of the joy of the Resurrection of the Lord.
Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, Exarch of Benelux, officiated at the services at the Cathedrale des Saints Archanges Michel Et Gabriel in Brussels, along with the priests and deacons of the Holy Metropolis.
The participation of the world in the service of the Holy Passion on Holy Thursday, the Descent from the Cross and the Lamentation on Good Friday, the Resurrection on Holy Saturday, the Vesper of Love on Pascha Sunday, as well as the celebrations of Saint George and the three Neo-Martyrs Raphael, Nicholas and Irene during the Bright Week was great.
During the ceremony of the Resurrection, on Holy Saturday night, the Patriarchal Encyclical for Holy Pascha of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was read, followed by the Encyclical of Metropolitan Athenagoras.
