“The Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain, on the occasion of the recent devastating fire at the historic Nursing Home of Valouklis, declares among its pious flock an alert of fervent prayer and extensive supplication, in order to stand by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and our faithful brothers and sisters who have seen the flames that burned down the house of love, warmth, protection, support and humanity.
In these days of our fervent supplications to the Patroness of Constantinople and Supreme General of our pious Nation, we join our own meager prayers and beseech Our Lady and Mother of the Savior to accept the pleas of her unworthy supplicants and to console our dear brothers and sisters and those who, at risk of their lives, managed to evacuate the Nursing Home.
May the miraculous Blessed Valukliotissa continue to cool sanctifyingly the foreheads of our brothers and sisters who are in the bed because of sickness and old age and of all those who with faith and self-denial minister the Crucified and Risen Christ in the faces of our elderly brothers and sisters.”
