On Sunday, 17 December, after the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy at the Ukrainian Parish-Community of Saint Savvas the New of Kalymnos, in the suburb of Banksia, Sydney, which was served by Parish Priest, Father Savas Pizanias, the annual Christmas function in support of the needs of the Parish took place, with the participation of both young and old parishioners.
The Christmas function included a fasting fish meal for all those who attended and a party celebration with many surprises and gifts for the young children.
