Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia held a meeting with the students from the Department of Theology of the University of Athens.
Assistant Professor Christos Karagiannis, who led the delegation of Greek and Georgian students, thanked Patriarch Ilia for the meeting.
According to information, Christos Karagiannis gave to the Patriarch a book concerning Jerusalem and the Holy Sepulcher.
Christos Karagiannis also informed the primate of the Church of Georgia about the high academic achievements of Georgian students.
Patriarch Ilia thanked Christos Karagiannis, and gave his blessing to the students. The Patriarch wished them to continue their studies so that in the future they would be useful to the Church.
