Standing Holy Synod condemns Turkey’s actions in Varosha and attacks on Christians in Nagorno-Karabakh

The Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece has unequivocally condemned the aggressive behaviour of Turkey towards Greece and Cyprus.

It also condemned Turkey’s violation of international treaties and human rights at Varosha in Cyprus.

The Standing Holy Synod also made special reference to the ongoing religious persecution and murderous attacks on Armenian Christians in the Nagorno-Karabakh region by the Azeris.

Finally, it condemned the vandalism that took place at the memorial to the Holocaust Victims and outside the building of the Israeli Community in the city of Larissa.
