Schedule of the Holy Services in the Metropolis of Smyrna for the month of August

The Metropolis of Smyrna has announced that on the annual commemoration of the Holy Seven Children of Ephesus, the Great Vespers will be held on Wednesday afternoon, August 3, 2022, at 19:00, followed by the Small Supplicatory Canon to the Holy Virgin Mary.

On the following day, Thursday, August 4, 2022, the day of the feast, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be performed by Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna, who will preside at all the Holy Services.

Also, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior, the Great Vespers of the Feast will be held in the afternoon of the previous day, August 5, 2022, at 19:00, and on the same day, August 6, 2022, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy will be performed by Metropolitan Bartholomew, who will preside at all the Holy Services.

Finally, on Sunday, August 7, 2022, St. Matthew’s Day, the Orthros and the Archieratical Divine Liturgy will be performed in the Holy Church of Agia Fotini by Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna, who will also preside over the Great Vespers in the afternoon of Saturday, August 6, 2022.

As mentioned above, from the afternoon of August 7 to August 12, the Canons of Supplication to the Most Holy Theotokos will be performed in the Holy Church of Agia Fotini, in the afternoon, immediately after the Dismissal of Vespers (19:00).
