With the participation of few believers, due to the COVID-19 restrictive measures, the Divine Liturgy was performed today, Sunday of the Pharisee and the Publican, in the Metropolis of Smyrna.
Metropolitan Bartholomew of Smyrna, through his personal Facebook account, wishes “a good and blessed Triodion to all of us.”
He added that “in an age of unbridled Pharisaic hypocrisy which has permeated the existence of hypocrites, to the point of believing what they themselves are pretending, let us pray to God to enlighten us and give us the saving self-reproach and humility of the Publican.”
