The Service and the Procession of the Epitaph was held at the Churches and the Monasteries of Messinia.
In the presence of the President of Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Messinia presided the Service, which was held at the Metropolitan Church of Ypapanti, and then stood ahead of the procession of the Epitaph through the main streets of the town.
Mr. Pavlopoulos was leading the litany behind Metropolitan Chrysostomos, followed by the faithful crowd.
Addressing the congregation, Chrysostomos emphasized the following: “Human beings bow in front of the Passion of Christ awaiting for the Resurrection not only of God-man Jesus but also of each one of us”.
