Speaking on a Ukrainian television channel, former Ukrainian President and leader of the European Solidarity political party, Petro Poroshenko, said that at least two other Orthodox Churches were close to recognizing the autocephalous Church of Ukraine.
“This process does not stop. Already one third of the world Orthodoxy – where the Ukrainian Church is one of the fifteen Orthodox sister churches – have recognized the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church.
I know for fact because I am negotiating right now using diplomatic opportunities.
At least two Orthodox Churches are close to recognizing the autocephalous Church of Ukraine and only the pandemic stands in its way,” said the former Ukrainian president.
