With the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Church of Saint Nektarios in Perth conducted its annual Church Raffle for the third consecutive year with the intention of raising funds for the beautification and ongoing maintenance of the church.
The Church of St Nektarios is located on the same premises as the offices of the Archdiocesan District of Perth located in the northern corridor.
This year the Church Raffle raised $100,000.00 and included supporters from all States and Territories from within Australia.
It was wonderful to see so many Greeks and non-Greeks, Orthodox and Non-orthodox, showing their enormous love towards this sacred cause.
The official drawing of the raffle took place on Sunday the 1st of October in the Archdiocese Function Centre in Dianella following the Divine Liturgy.
On behalf of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, thanked the sole sponsor who donated $10,000.00 for the cash prizes as well as all who supported the 2023 Church Raffle.
