The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II has met with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev today, as reported by 1tv.ge citing information from the Patriarchate of Georgia.

The Catholicos-Patriarch congratulated Mr Faig on his appointment as an Ambassador and once again expressed his concern over the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“There is nothing more precious than the truth. We should seek it. The path to the truth is a gradual process. God willing, this will happen through legal, peaceful methods,” the Patriarchate said in a statement.

Yesterday, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia met with the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, Ruben Sadoyan.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, met with Armenian Ambassador to Georgia as reported by 1tv.ge.

The meeting took place at the initiative of the Armenian Ambassador and was focused around the military hostilities and the difficult situation in the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Patriarchate, Patriarch of Georgia expressed deep sorrow about the civilian casualties and underlined that he prays for quick resolution of the conflict through peaceful means.
