Metropolitan Theodosios of Kinshasa presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. Mark in Kinshasa.
During the Divine Liturgy, he performed the ordination of the Deacon Fr. Ephraim.
Fr. Ephraim became a monk immediately after the enthronement of Metropolitan Theodosios and faithfully served both the Metropolitan and the Holy Metropolis of Kinshasa. .
The Metropolitan mentioned many teachings of the Holy Fathers to Fr. Ephraim about the gift of the Priesthood, urging him to faithfully follow their advice. He conveyed to the new presbyter the wishes of Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa. Fr. Ephraim thanked Metropolitan Theodosios for the trust he had in him. He referred to late Metropolitan Nikiforos of Kinshasa from whom he learned a lot about monastic life as well as Elder Ephraim and his entourage who pray for the Metropolis of Kinshasa and help in various ways.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan ordained Archimandrite Fr. Ephraim as Archieratical Supervisor throughout the Metropolis. In practice, this means that he will constantly visit all parts of the Metropolis, supervising each parish and province. Then they all exclaimed “Axios!”
