With the efforts of the Church of Ukraine and with the donations of the faithful, new temples are being built in various parts of Ukraine. In recent days, the Church of Ukraine announced that sanctification rites were held in holy temples in various parts of the country.
In Nikopol, Archbishop Rig Symeon of Dipro and Krivoy held a consecration ceremony a few days ago at the Church of Peter Kalnyshevsky, a hetman (commander) of Ukraine who lived in the 17th century and was canonized by the Church of Ukraine in 2008.
The Holy Temple was erected in honor of the Ukrainian soldiers who fell fighting for their homeland in the war with the Russian / hybrid forces, which has been raging in eastern Ukraine since 2014 to this day.
At the same time, a ceremony of sanctification and exaltation of the cross took place at the site where a Holy Temple is to be erected in the area of Tairova, in Odessa. The ceremony was performed by the Bishop Athanasios of Odessa.
At the site, there is already a small church, which was built with the efforts of the locals. The new imposing temple will be dedicated to Sergio Radonez.
A sanctification rite was also held at the chapel dedicated to General Mikhail and located inside the command center of the Ukrainian Air Force in the city of Vinnytsia. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the celebration of the Air Force in Ukraine.
