A brilliant multi-archieratic co-liturgy was held today, Saturday, June 29, in honour of the Patron Saint of Corinth, Apostle Paul of the Nations.
The celebrating Divine Service was presided by Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus assisted by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkida, Athinagoras of Ilion, David of Grevena, Agathangelos of Fanari, Dionysios of Corinth and the Bishops Iakovos of Thaumakos, Konstantinos of Androusa and Agapios of Kehrees.
It is worth noting that the Primate of the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim, also officiated the Sacred Service.
Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus preached the Divine Word; in particular, he referred to Apostle Paul and his spiritual heritage.
“In this splendor, Apostle Paul calls us, not just to love God but to become the shareholder of Divine life”, said inter alia the Metropolitan.
This year’s celebration of the Patron Saint of Corinth was brightened by the presence of the Holy Belt (Agia Zoni) from the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, which crowds of believers flock daily to humbly worship.
