Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that Moscow was ready to host talks between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry following separate telephone calls between the Russian foreign minister and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
Lavrov stressed that Russia would continue to work with the two ministers separately and with the other co-chairs of the Minsk Group in the OSCE and would make mediation efforts aimed at creating conditions for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by political and diplomatic means.
