US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker held a meeting with Metropolitan Anthimos of Thessaloniki, accompanied by US Consul General in Thessaloniki, Gregory Pfleger.
“We reaffirmed our shared commitment to religious freedom in addition to discussing the ecumenical role of the Orthodox Church and the important humanitarian work the Church undertakes,” Gregory Fleger said on US Consulate Twitter account on the visit to the Metropolis of Thessaloniki.
