In compliance with the COVID-19 restrictive measures in the canton of Basel, Metropolitan Maximos of Switzerland presided over the Divine Liturgy for the Presentation of the Virgin Mary at the Temple in Hagia Sophia Parish in Northwestern Switzerland on November 21, 2021.
The Metropolitan was accompanied by the Protosyncellus of the Metropolis, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, Fanourios Tholiotis, and the Hierarchical Head of the Parish, Protopresbyter Dimitrios Martzelos.
In the end, the Metropolitan spoke to the faithful, proclaimed the Divine Word, congratulated the Hierarch for the brilliant pastoral work, the fruits of which are obvious, urged the faithful to remain close to their normally organized Parish, as its honorable members, and wished a good rest of Lent.
