Metropolitan Vissarion of Spain and Portugal on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid and was received by Ambassador Sergiy Pogoreltsev.
The Metropolitan conveyed the feelings of love, affection, and support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, to the tested heroic Ukrainian people, wishing for the speedy end of the bloody war and the return of peace to this blessed country. He emphasized that our God is a God of love, peace, and truth, and the truth is on the side of long-suffering Ukraine.
