Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Messinia sent a letter to the President of the Republic, the prime minister, the leader of the Opposition, and the deputy minister of Social Insurance and Social Solidarity in order to support the children with disabilities and learning difficulties, whose families are unable to cover the cost of their special treatment.
Metropolitan Chrysostomos referred to their legitimate demands while expressing his concerns about the future of these children. He also invited the most important institutions of Greece to do so by fulfilling their obligation towards these families and to satisfy their legitimate demands.
He stated that this was a highly serious problem that concerned not only the families and the children all over Greece, but also those who offered their services and support for all these children, “whom we have to assist in their struggle”.
