Festive commemorations on the second day of Passover, as well as in honor of Saint Great Martyr George the Victorious, patron saint of the military forces in Poland, and Martyr Priest Col. Basil (Martysz), unfolded in the Orthodox Military Cathedral under the auspices of the Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland.
The celebrations drew together representatives from the capital’s clergy, devoted believers, and friends of the Warsaw Military Parish. During the service, the Metropolitan delved into the profound significance of the Feast of the Resurrection of the Lord and expounded upon the essence of Christ’s divinity. Furthermore, the hierarch emphasized the pivotal role of the cathedral within the armed forces, recounting pivotal moments from the history of its establishment post-World War II, and underscored its ongoing efforts in fostering connections with military personnel.
