“The phenomenon is unprecedented and I think the Prime Minister’s decision meets the urgency of the criticality,” Metropolitan Ioannis of Langadas, Liti and Rentina told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
“The Holy Synod has decided the same thing, there is an alignment of views with the government. We hope that the virus will soon resolve and we will return to our normal lives, both in our workplaces and in the areas of prayer and the churches,” the Metropolitan of Langadas noted.
“Our faithful are manifesting their faith, and this is to the great credit of all . However, there are also practical problems that require measures to protect the faithful, and the sooner we provide this protection, the sooner we will return to our normal course,” he added.
