On the afternoon of August 13, 2021, at the invitation of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine and his entourage visited the Ecumenical Patriarch’s family house in Agioi Theodoroi in Imbros.
The Ecumenical Patriarch received Metropolitan Epifaniy by recounting the story of his family and showed the museum, which he set up in the room where his father’s shop used to be.
The Ecumenical Patriarch also introduced the guests from Ukraine to his brother and family, who are also attending the celebrations of the 60th priesthood anniversary.
The head of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine presented Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with a Ukrainian translation of his biography, prepared by Deacon John Chrysavgis, which had been published by the Spirit and Letter.
The day ended with a concert of traditional songs, which was organized outdoors in one of the highest points of the island of Imbros as part of the celebrations.
