The Orthodox Church of Ukraine stated that on the afternoon of January 15, 2022, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and Ukraine tested positive for COVID-19. Last year, the head of the OCU had received the vaccination.
Due to his illness, Metropolitan Epifaniy will be self-quarantined and will receive the appropriate treatment, and will not be performing services or receiving visitors for the next week.
The Orthodox Church asked the clergy and the faithful to offer prayers for the speedy recovery of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
