In the women’s Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi of the Parthenon, the planned Hieratic Assembly of the Holy Synod of Kissamos and Selino was held, with the participation of all the cleric of the Metropolis.
After the prayer, Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino noted that “the Church is living a lasting Resurrection. Every Divine Liturgy is the Passion, but especially the Resurrection of the Lord and the co-resurrection of the people of God. In what extent do we live this resurrection from our passions? In what extent each Divine Liturgy we celebrate is a feast, a cause of spiritual joy and of feedback of our priestly life and ministry? Resurrection and co-resurrection in Christ? Do not forget, brothers and fathers, the two top days and moments of your life, which will judge all of us. The day of your ordination and the day we will present ourselves before God’s Justice.”
Dialogue followed afterwards and the Assembly closed with instructions on pastoral and practical matters.
