On Sunday, November 12, the feast of Saint Nektarios was celebrated in the church of the Parish of Parma.
Metropolitan Polycarp of Italy celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the memory of their patron saint, Saint Nektarios of Pentapolis in Aegina.
Fathers Archimandrite Ambrosios, Priest of Pavia, Protopresbyter Demetrios, Priest of the parish of Reggio Emilia and Presbitero Nectario, parish priest of Parma also attended the service. Before the Divine Liturgy, at the end of the Doxology, the Metropolitan blessed the new beautiful iconostasis of the church from Romania and perfomed the santification service. In his sermon, the Metropolitan spoke about the life of Saint Nektarios, calling on the faithful present, Greeks, Romanians, Moldovans and Ukrainians, to imitate him. The Feast ended with a community festive meal at a Greek restaurant in the city.
