On Sunday afternoon, in the presence of a crowd of faithful, priests and authorities of Chios, there was held the Great Archieratic Vesper in the town’s bigger parish, the Church of Virgin Mary Evangelistria.
At the celebrating church, Metropolitan Markos referred to Evangelismos tis Theotokou (Annunciation of Virgin Mary) and the double celebration for our Nation and Orthodoxy.
Indeed, before the ending, Metropolitan of Chios encouraged the faithful to have the Greek flag at their homes, as a response to Turkish provocation.
“In this way, whose that breach the sky of our country, shall face an island full of Greek flags”, concluded Metropolitan Markos.
