Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi was visited yesterday by the Metropolitan Meletios of Carthage at the Tunisian Palace of the Republic, in the city of Carthage outside Tunis.
During his visit, Metropolitan Meletios wished the President a prosperous year, in the presence of Prime Minister Yusuf Al Shahid, President of the Parliament Mohammad Al Nasser, ministers, members of the armed forces, heads of diplomatic missions, religious officers and various representatives of international organizations accredited in Tunisia.
Also, the Metropolitan gave the wishes of His Divine Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore II to the President of Tunisia for peace, progress and prosperity in Tunisia.
