Metropolitan Nikolaos of Philippopolis visited the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Tuesday, June 4.
Metropolitan of the Church of Bulgaria, accompanied by Bishop Sionios of Veliki and Abbot of the Bachkovo Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos, Bishop Arsenios of Znepol, as well as the clergy and lay associates, paid his respects to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, expressing feelings of devotion and honor to the Mother Church of Constantinople and to the Ecumenical Patriarch.
During their meeting, they had the opportunity to discuss topical issues related to the Church.
Then the Metropolitan of Philippopolis and his convoy attended the luncheon.
