Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine performed the Divine Liturgy on the day of the Epiphany (according to the Julian calendar) at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Lavra of Kyiv.
This is the second time that Metropolitan Epifaniy has celebrated the Divine Liturgy in this church recently, after Christmas Day (January 7).
The Divine Liturgy was concelebrated by Metropolitan Simeon of Vinitsa, Archbishop Evstratiy of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, Archbishop Nestor of Ternopil and Kremenets, Archbishop Agapit of Vishorod, Bishop Mark of Kropyvnytskyi and Bishop Lavrentiy of Lugansk and Starobilsk.
During the Divine Liturgy, prayers were heard for the soldiers defending Ukraine and for the recovery of the children affected by the war, especially in Dnipro and Brovary, as well as for the repose of the souls of all the fallen defenders of the country, as well as of the recently deceased members of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine.
