Metropolitan Athinagoras of Belgium welcomed the senior members of the AHEPA women’s organization, the Daughters of Penelope, to the Holy Metropolis of Belgium.
The group of members of the General Board of the Daughters of Penelope, along with members coming from the USA, Canada, Germany and Belgium, on the occasion of the annual general assembly in Brussels, visited the Metropolitan of Belgium.
During the meeting, the Metropolitan referred to the life and activity of the local Church, the representation of the Orthodox Church in the European Union, as well as the need for a local Spiritual Center to house the two departments of the Institute of Orthodox Theology of the Holy Metropolis, conferences and seminars, the clergy meeting and youth meetings, as well as other activities of the Holy Metropolis.
