Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has met with Patriarch of All Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia Neofit.
The head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church received the Russian prime minister, who is currently in Bulgaria for a two-day official visit, at the headquarters of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
The patriarch greeted Medvedev at the entrance to the Holy Synod. They then proceeded to a reception hall, where they held a meeting.
Following the meeting, Medvedev and Patriarch Neofit headed to the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
According to Interfax information, representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church showed Medvedev around the cathedral and told him about the main sacred objects held there.
