The celebration of St. Great Martyr Marina commenced with festive vespers at the St. Sofia Metropolis.
For the first time, the evening service on the eve of the temple holiday was presided over by Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel. He was co-celebrated by Archimandrite Ioan, protosyncellus of the Sofia Metropolitanate, and protodeacon Ivan Petkov.
Many Christians filled the metropolitan church and the courtyard, participating in the solemn service and venerating the relics of St. Marina. After the service, Patriarch Daniel addressed the congregation, recalling the life of St. Great Martyr Marina and bestowing his blessing upon the faithful.
Dozens of Sofia residents gathered to worship and pay their respects to the saint, joining the Patriarch in prayers dedicated to St. Marina, asking for health, joy, salvation, and eternal life.
