“Greece is once again present in Libya,” Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias posted in his personal Twitter account on Thursday from Tripoli, where he is attending the Libya Stabilisation Initiative conference.
“A Greek flag in the streets of Tripoli, where I will soon participate in the Libya Stabilisation Initiative,” he said.
Dendias was invited by his Libyan counterpart, Najla El Mangoush, according to a foreign ministry announcement.
The summit is a Libyan initiative and the countries mainly invited to attend are those neighboring Libya, as well as the countries in the Berlin Process, according to a statement from the Greek foreign ministry.
The summit is expected to focus on two key areas: security and the economy/growth.
