A Greek family from Germany is among the victims of the maniac driver who spread death yesterday in the center of Trier, in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
The 45-year-old dentist G.K. and his nine-week-old baby girl are dead, while his wife and their other child, 17 months old, are being treated for injuries from the same incident.
From the first moment, the Greek community of the area is by the side of the family, but also the priest of the parish from Luxembourg, Spyridon Tsakonas, who, spoke to ANA-MPA about an “extremely difficult situation”.
The city of Trier, on the border of Germany with Luxembourg, has been shocked since yesterday by the tragedy caused by a 51-year-old German, who fell with his car on pedestrians and left behind five dead and fifteen injured. The perpetrator, who has been arrested, was under the influence of alcohol, and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, while political motives are not considered possible.
