On Christmas Eve, the Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra, Archimandrite Prochoros Anastasiadis visited the city of Albury, which is located on the border of the States of New South Wales and Victoria.
The members of the Greek Orthodox community of Albury welcomed with joy and emotion Fr. Prochoros, who, on Thursday afternoon, presided over the Divine Liturgy of Christmas at the Saints Archangels Greek Orthodox Church.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, he wished everyone a Merry and Blessed Christmas and he conveyed the paternal wishes and blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
He also gifted an icon of St Prohoros to each churchgoer.
Afterwards, Fr. Prochoros met with the members of the ecclesiastical council of the Parish and then attended a dinner, which was given in his honor.
