On June 8, 2023, Archbishop Elpidophoros of America received representatives of the Focolare Movement in New York at the Archdiocese Headquarters.
During their meeting they spoke about the close and historic relationship between His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Focolare Movement’s founder Chiara Lubich. They also discussed future ecumenical projects in the United States.
Rev. Protopresbyter Dr. Nicolas Kazarian, Director of the Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical & Interfaith Relations, was also present at the meeting.
