The feast of Saints Constantine and Helen was celebrated in the homonymous church in Paris, the second Greek Orthodox temple in the capital of France.
Bishop Maximos of Melitene officiated at the Vespers service, and spoke about the contribution of the Saints Constantine and Helen, Equal-to-the Apostles to the recognition and consolidation of the Church after centuries of persecution. Then he thanked the Bishop Irenaeus of Rigio for the warm welcome and the invitation to officiate at the Vespers service
On the feast day, Metropolitan Emmanuel of France presided over the Divine Liturgy, accompanied by the Protopresbyterian of the Ecumenical Throne Fr. Nicholas Xenos, and Protopresbyterian Fr. Christos Mompelas.
In his sermon, the Metropolitan spoke about the life of Saints Constantine and Helen while referring to the adoption and implementation of their views by the world’s leaders in the present day.
Bishop Irenaeus of Rigio attended both the Vespers and the Divine Liturgy.
