The feast day of Saint Sava, Archbishop and Enlightener of Serbia, was solemnly celebrated in the cathedral monastery of the Diocese of Budimlye-Niksic, Djurdjevi Stupovi.
On the feast day, January 27, 2021, Bishop Joanikije of Budimlye-Niksic, the administrator of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of priests and monks.
The liturgical gathering was attended by the faithful people and children of the Berane region. Bishop Joanikije talked about the importance of Saint Sava for the Serbian people and Orthodoxy.
The Bishop blessed the slava cake in honor of Saint Sava. At the end of the festal service, Dragan and Milovan Sljivancanin presented Bishop Joanikije with a sceptre as a gift as a sign of brotherly love and care.
