On Monday, August 2, 2021, on the day when the Holy Church prayerfully celebrates the great prophet of God, Saint Elijah, Bishop Atanasije of Milesevo served the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the monastery dedicated to his memory on Jabuka near Prijepolje.
Abbot Zosim, head of the monastery of Holy Trinity in Pljevlje, archpriest Nikola Perkovic and archdeacon Ivan Savic, served together.
In the Divine Liturgy, in addition to other guests and invitees, the President of the Municipality of Prijepolje, Vladimir Babic, with his associates participated.
After the last prayer, a procession three times around the church was held, and then the slava gifts were blessed, which were prepared by the host Lazar Zindovic with his family from the village of Bare, halfway between Prijepolje and Jabuka. The bishop then consecrated the monastery’s residence.
The Order of the White Angel of the first degree was awarded to Dragoljub Sljukic from Prijepolje and Srecko Milovanovic from Novi Pazar.
The Order of the White Angel of the second degree was awarded to archpriest-staurophor Slobodan Simic, Milan Bakovic and Ivan Matovic, all from Prijepolje. Several individuals and companies received archpastoral letters of gratitude.
