The official commemoration of the Great Martyr Saint Barbara, Patron Saint of Artillery Weapons, took place at the Artillery School in Nea Peramos, Attica, on Monday, 4 December 2023.
The service was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence of Greece, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, as a representative of the President of the Greek Government, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, the Commander of the Artillery School Brigadier General Stergios Kazakis, the Representative of the Hellenic Parliament, MP Athanasios Bouras, Members of Parliament, representatives of the Local Government, Senior and Leading officers of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, retired Armed Forces Officers, as well as families of Artillery heroes.
Mr. Kefalogiannis, after the Doxology, laid a wreath at the Monument to the Fallen of the Unknown artilleryman and watched a short demonstration of Artillery weapon systems.
