Metropolitan Emmanuel of France celebrated the Divine Liturgy behind closed doors in the morning at the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Paris.
The churches throughout the country remain closed in compliance with a state order. As a matter of fact, the participation of the people in the Divine Liturgy will be allowed from the beginning of June under strict health conditions, which will be clarified by the Government of France. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of France will inform the faithful about the exact date.
Moreover, it will be compulsory for the faithful to use a protective mask and to stay two meters away from each other. There will also be a sign on the seats where the faithful will not be allowed to sit. In the Cathedral of St. Stephen, almost 3/4 of the seats will be tagged as unavailable, while the faithful will be able to stand at the narthex of the church and on the forecourt by keeping a distance from each other.
