President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Metropolitan Efstathios of Monemvasia and Sparta were given a tour at the Archaeological Site of Mystras on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, during the event of “Palaiologia 2019” in Mystras, Municipality of Sparta.
The anniversary celebrations for the completion of 566 years since the Fall of Constantinople commenced with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and a memorial service held by Metropolitan Efstathios of Monemvasia and Sparta, at the metropolitan church of Agios Dimitrios in Mystras.
The event “Palaiologia 2019,” under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic, continued with a Trisagion prayer at the statue of emperor Constantine Palaiologos at Mystras’ Square, where President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos laid a wreath.
