Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made new provocative statements on Greece’s childish behavior saying that his country does not receive threats.
As reported by Hurriyet, during an event in Ankara, Erdogan said: “We are defending the legitimate rights of our country and of the Turkish Cypriot Republic in the Eastern Mediterranean. We will not allow anyone to restrict our country, which has the largest coastline in the Mediterranean.”
The Turkish president went on to say: “The language of threats and blackmail does not work for us. The fact that diplomacy has been presented as a point of solution to the problems with Greece is a result of our firm determination.”
“Greece is provocative and has a childish behavior while its politicians lack of dignity towards our rights. Turkey has found itself with prudence in this phase, which is unthinkable for us, however, our role is very important and we are moving smartly. We will continue to show great maturity, which is required afterwards. Despite (Greece’s) childish behavior, we will always be right. We will always act in good faith, but, if they test our patience, they will get the answer they deserve.”
