The decision to end the ministry of Archimandrite Agathangelos Siskos was taken by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate that convened today under the chairmanship of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Taking into account the “defamation of the institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate”, the Holy Synod decided to terminate the Archimandrite’s ministry at the Phanar.
There had been an announcement last week from the Phanar, with which Agathangelos Siskos had been suspended.

The Holy Synod met today, April 25, 2023, under the chairmanship of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, before which the Patriarch raised the case of Archim. Agathangelos Siskos.
After an exchange of views and taking into account the defamation of the institution of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, it was decided to terminate the ministry of Archim. Agathangelos Siskos at the Phanar.
