On Sunday, 28 January 2024, (15th Sunday of Luke), Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon officiated from the throne at the Matins and Divine Liturgy, which was served by the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Chalcedon, Archimandrite Evgenios Karatzas, along with Deacon Father Asterios Bardakci, at the Church of Saint Panteleimon, on the shores of the Bosphorus, in the picturesque Khrysokeramos (Kuzguncuk), which once teemed with life and for many years Greeks, Turks, Jews, and Armenians lived in harmony and this is witnessed by the places of worship that exist in the area.
Also present for the Divine Liturgy were the Consuls in Constantinople, Stavros Christodoulidis and Theofilos Georgakis, the President, and the members of the Khrysokeramos Community, while it is worth noting that many believers participated from the surrounding area and the greater City of Constantinople.
After the Divine Liturgy, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel spoke appropriately to the congregation, analyzing the gospel reading for the day, and then distributed the Antidoron to the faithful.
