The Ecumenical Patriarchate has issued a statement, clarifying that it does not have the slightest involvement in the upcoming elections for the new Archbishop of Cyprus.
Specifically, the press and communications office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in an announcement clarifies that both the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, are not involved in any way in the upcoming elections in Cyprus.
It is also noted that any other evaluations, from various “ecclesiastical circles”, that have been published, are unsubstantiated.
