On Friday, January 5, 2021, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will celebrate the feast of Saint Photios the Great, Patriarch of Constantinople and founder of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Halki where the seminary is housed, at the church of the Theological School of Halki.
After the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch will offer a memorial service for the repose of the late Metropolitan of Stavroupolis, Maximos, the last director of Halki seminary, who fell asleep in the Lord thirty years ago.
On the eve of the feast, at 4 p.m., the Abbot, Bishop Cassianos of Arabissos will officiate the Great Vespers.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy a reception and a festive luncheon will be held at the Ceremony Hall of the seminary.
